Primal Scream announce Australian tour

Scottish band Primal Scream have announced an Australian tour for 2018, they’ll begin their trip around Australia in Perth at Metropolis Fremantle on 15 February before heading to Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

The acid house hedonists and indie rock ‘n rollers are a band who have built a 30 year career on the art of reinvention.

The band have promised to play tracks from their most famous album Screamadelica on the tour, but they have a massive amount of tunes to choose from, since forming in 1982 they’ve released eleven albums of material.

Their most recent work was 2016’s Chaosmosis which featured collaborations with Haim and Sky Ferreira. Throught their career the band have made records that have been classed as psychedelic, rock, dub, electronic and 2006’s Riot City Blues even had elements of country swagger.

After their Fremantle the show, the band play Adelaide’s HQ on Friday 16 February, Melbourne’s Forum Theatre on Sunday 18 February, Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Tuesday 20 February and Brisbane’s The Tivoli on Wednesday 21 February.

Tickets for all shows go on sale Thursday 26 October, 9am local time.
