Russell Tovey Doesn't Think He's a Sex Symbol

Russell ToveyActor Russell Tovey, who has spent most of his career in the UK appearing in ‘The History Boys’, ‘Doctor Who’ and ‘Being Human’ is about to take on a new role in the American series ‘Looking’.  Despite his casting in the new queer comedy Tovey has said that he doesn’t think he’s a sex symbol.

“I’ve got ratty curly hair. I’ve got sticky-out ears. I‘ve got a little troll nose. I’m like a little pale street urchin. I’m lucky that I’ve sort of aged well into my face. I don’t think people are repelled by me. But one never sees how other people see you in a mirror at all — ever.”

The actor made the comments in a new interview with the New York Times.
