The sci-fi drama created by the Wachowski sisters follows a number of LGBTI story arcs, featuring closeted gay actor Lito Rodriguez and transgender hacker Nomi Marks among the ensemble of characters.

The show drew much attention for an extended pansexual orgy scene between many of the eight titular characters, as well as the closeness of the cast off set.

Variety have reported that Netflix will be releasing the Sense8 Christmas special internationally on December 23rd, with the show’s second season due to begin on May 5, 2017.
