It’s been twelve years since Emma Bunton put out any new music – but now she’s got a whole album to share.

The retro sounding Baby Please Don’t Stop is the first track off Emma’s forthcoming album My Happy Place. The record will have just two new tunes, while the rest will be made up of some of Emma’s favourite tunes from other artists.

The video clip for the song shows Emma having a mountain of fun, and fiance Jade Jones and the couples two children also make an appearance.

Jade and Emma have just announced they’ll be adding to their family, the couple are expecting their third child later this year. They began dating in 1998, and got engaged in 2011 – but have yet to make it down the aisle.

The new record will feature Emma and Jade singing the Marvin Gaye and Tammi Tyrell classic You’re All I Need To Get By. Emma will also team up with Will YOung to deliver Dusty Springfield’s I Only Wanna Be With You, while Robbie Williams appears on a new version of the Spice Girls song 2 Become 1.

She also covers Australian artists Madison Avenue’s Don’t Call Me Baby, and the Bee Gee’s Emotion.

For the last few years Emma’s been busy working in Breakfast radio. From 2013 to 2018 she presented the Heart FM Breakfast show alongside Jamie Theakston.

The new album will be the fourth in Emma Bunton’s solo career following A Girl Like Me (2001), Free Me (2004) and Life in Mono (2006).

Later this year Emma will rejoin Geri, Mel C and Mel B for a Spice Girls tour, Victoria Beckham has opted to sit this one out.
