Tea With Miss Katherine :: Miss Angelina Holy-Shit

Miss Katherine is frazzled after taking afternoon tea with the irreverently naughty yet lovable rebel of Perth’s drag community, Miss Angelina Holy Shit, to discuss dancing, music and fun!

Miss Angelina, welcome to my parlour!

I’ll ask the questions around here, thank you very much! Can I have a line please?

[cough].. [gasp].. Don’t be so outrageous!

What do you think about what I am wearing? It is a crusty top but I am covering it up with this cotton scarf. I don’t need a label, the only label I need is myself – Angelina Holy Shit! It’s not what I wear that makes me fabulous!

Where do you live?

That’s a dumb question!

What’s your favourite flower?

Don’t you think Sheila is so hot? She’s my favourite drag queen because she is much more of a dog than I am. I really look up to her and respect her.

So, what is your favourite flower?

…pansy…

Where do you live?

Where do you want me to live?

[Eyes glazing over]… [getting frazzled]…

I live with my Mummy, she takes me to work everyday because we work together. I work as a cook as a cook in a child care centre.

… Really?

…Yeah…

Oh cool, and who is your favourite drag queen?

Sheila is my favourite drag queen because she is much more of a dog than I am, I really look up to her and respect her.

[getting more frazzled] And how long have you been doing drag?

Oh I dunno, how long is a line?

[really annoyed] Answer the question!

Ha ha, um, two or three years? Something like that.

Is that all? Do you have a drag mother?

I look to everyone, anyone who will give me advice on being a drag queen that will make me better.

And you are working for Connections at the moment?

I know Connections is so much hotter than The Court at the moment, The Court is so boring. I am podium dancing at Connections at the moment so if you see me dancing on the podium pleeease don’t talk to me.

What is your favourite colour?

Whatever colour I am wearing.

[eyes rolling] Answer the question…

That’s an answer isn’t it? Okay, electric blue because that is the colour I wore most recently.

Now you have put me off! My column has a format, it does not change for anybody, everybody answers the same questions – that’s the way the column runs. Now, what is your favourite food?

Sorry. Okay, I am a good cook but my favourite is steak… I love meat.

Favourite saying?

‘I am Angelina Holy Shit and you’re not so suck sh*t and f*ck off’

Do you have a nicer favourite saying?

No.

That’s it! Finish your cake and get out!
