Calls for The Court Hotel to remove its rainbow signage

On Monday we highlighted an online petition voicing community concerns about safety and homophobic behaviour at The Court Hotel. The petition called on the venue’s management to address concerns or it suggested they consider removing the rainbow signage off the front of the pub.

By Wednesday the venue was making its commitment to being an LGBTIQ+ venue by painting a new rainbow across the front of the hotel. The management promised more security and a fresh code of conduct, while community members launched a ‘Support The Court’ campaign.

On Friday night a new drama series debuted on the ABC, The Heights stars Marcus Graham, Roz Hammond and Sharri Stebbens. It features a lot of diversity, including some queer characters. The show continues each Friday night or you can binge view on the ABC’s iView.
