XMas Gift Guide – Community Charities

Christmas is the giving season and there are a few great charities right here in our very community worth giving a little extra to over the holidays. Here are some of OUTinPerth’s favourites…

WA AIDS Council and Freedom Centre – Tax-deductible. Donate at www.waaids.com/Donations. To earmark a donation for the Freedom Centre, just type ‘Freedom Centre’ in the Purpose section of the donation form. Additionally, the Freedom Centre sells handmade pride bracelets and badges – a great gift for a great cause!

PrideWA – Pride WA accepts donations, but donations are not tax-deductible. Visit the Pride website – www.pridewa.asn.au – to give.

GRAI – Rather than money this Christmas, GRAI is calling for ‘time’ donations, especially from skilled lawyers or accountants. Contact GRAI on info@grai.org.au.

Gay and Lesbian Community Services – Tax-deductible. Donations can be earmarked for a variety of services, including phone counseling, Opening Closets training packages and Queers 4 Reconciliation. Email GLCS on admin@glcs.org.au with donations.
