A new study in the United Kingdom has suggested that most women are attracted to images of named women, even if it’s just a little bit.

The study has found that women who identify as straight or bi-sexual are aroused by pictures of both naked men and women, while lesbian women react more to images of women. The study investigated responses including pupil dilation.

The new report comes from  Dr Gerulf Riege at the Department of Psychology at the University of Essex.

Dr Rieger said: “Even though the majority of women identify as straight, our research clearly demonstrates that when it comes to what turns them on, they are either bisexual or gay, but never straight.”

The study does however has a very small sample size with just 345 women taking part in the project.

Previous studies have shown that men respond more distinctly to their professed gender attraction. This study found that lesbians reactions were similar to the way men reacted.

The study noted however that while lesbians responded in a similar way to men they was no correlation between the women’s masculine or feminine appearance.
