Graeme Watson – Editor

Graeme Watson joined OUTinPerth in January 2011. Previously Graeme was the General Manager of community radio station RTRFM 92.1, where he continues to volunteer as a presenter on the programs ‘Artbeat’, ‘Disco Science’ and ‘Golden Apples of the Sun’. Graeme’s professional career has encompassed work in the media, performing arts and casino gaming industries.

As a corporate film producer creating groundbreaking films that combine live action and animation for clients including Channel Nine, Rio Tinto and Landcorp. Graeme is a member of the Film and Television Institute of Western Australia – where he previously held the position Professional Development and Training Manager, and is the former Chair of WAinmate: The Western Australian Animation Industry Association. Graeme has produced two successful theatrical productions, ‘Degree Absolute’ (1997) and ‘Cry Havoc’ (2010) and is a member of The Blue Room. Graeme is also a member of Pride WA.

Graeme began his writing at Metior, the student guild publication at Murdoch University – his first ever interview was with Loon X-Wing the front man of local band Beaverloop. Graeme’s recent interviews include disco legend Martha Wash, Olivia Newton-John and singer Belinda Carlisle.

Nadine Walker – Journalist

Nadine Walker joined the OUTinPerth team in July 2012 after graduating in a Bachelor of Communications, majoring in Journalism and Communications, Technology & Policy.

Merging her passion for writing and social issues, Nadine began Journalism at Murdoch University in 2009. Nadine wrote for the ‘Murdoch Independent’ news site during her study, covering local news as well as current LGBTIQ issues.

In January 2012, Nadine launched ‘The Fix on 107.9fm. ‘The Fix, which aired from 3-5pm each Tuesday, offered entertainment, local music, as well as segments that covered local news and reviews. In partnership with Fremantle Radio, Nadine launched ‘The Gay Fix’, a weekly 15 minute segment that covered local LGBTIQ news, issues, as well as reviews of gay venues and events. Nadine is a member of RTRFM 92.1 where she volunteers as a presenter on the program ‘Disco Science’.

Following her graduation in 2012, Nadine has fallen back into print media as a journalist here at OUTinPerth, we are very excited to have her on board.

Ryan Boldison – Business Development Manager

Ryan Boldison is somewhat of an OUTinPerth veteran seeing the paper grow since he originally joined the team in 2008 and is back again as of March 2013 working in business development.

Most recently Ryan rejoins us from one of Perth’s premier dating agencies working in sales and marketing coordination. Over the course of his career Ryan has worked in both large and small businesses and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of advertising to the OUTinPerth office. With a certificate III in customer contact and his strong passion for the GLBT community we are please to welcome him aboard once again!

Combing his passion for media and creative writing Ryan also writes a social commentary blog in his spare time.
