Mexico has annouced it will no longer refuse blood donations from gay and bisexual men.

The policy turn around means that as long as the volunteer donors are HIV and Hepatitus negative and not injecting drug users they will now be allowed to donate blood.

The Mexican National Council To Prevent Discrimination welcomed the move saying the new approach would focus on risky behaviours rather than stigmitising specific social groups.
