YouTube Star Connor Franta Comes Out

YouTube star Connor Franta has announced that he is gay and discussed his journey to self acceptance.

The 22 year old video blogger who has 3.6 million followers shared his news in a poignant video he uploaded earlier today.

“2014 is truly the year that I have accepted who I am and become happy with that person,” Franta said.

Franta discussed how he had felt isolated and unable to share his sexuality previously.

“I had this secret, that couldn’t even talk to myself about, let alone other people.” Franta shared.

Franta told his viewers that he was now comfortable with his sexuality and his life was much easier once the burden of concealing his orientation was lifted.
