The single ‘Lay Me Down’ featuring both Smith and Legend has been named the official single of Red Nose Day, a British charity event that occurs every two years in which participants wear red noses and raise funds for Comic Relief, a charity which aims to combat global poverty.

The original version of ‘Lay Me Down’ was a solo number on Smith’s debut album ‘In the Lonely Hour’. Universal Music Group are donating 100% of the profits from the sales of the duet version to Comic Relief. The pair are also set to perform the number for the first and only time on the televised special ‘Comic Relief: Face the Funny’ this Friday March 13th.
