kingamiyah‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ have cast the syndicated reality series’ first transgender star according to reports from TMZ.

Ms Scott will make history for the program as not only the first trans member of the cast, but the first top billed LGBT representative on the show. While many of the housewives have kept queer company, none of the starring roles have been held by LGBT individuals.

Amiyah is open about her story and can be expected to be as forthcoming as predecessor NeNe Leakes about all aspects of her life on ‘Housewives’.

“Realistically I am transgendered [sic] and it’s something that I can’t hide. It’s not going to be a secret. I realised around 18 or 19 and I just realised this would be a secret I couldn’t keep.”
