‘So Loquacious’ is a weekly conversation about news and current affairs topics that relate to the LGBTIQ+ communities and their allies. Each we’ll chat about what’s driving conversations in the queer community.

Loquacious means very talkative, which seemed an appropriate title.

The initial series is set to run for eight weeks and each episode will feature a guest from the local community.

The first episode features community broadcaster Paul Van Leishout, one of the hosts of RTRFM 92.1’s current affairs program ‘The Mag’, chatting to Leigh Hill and Graeme Watson from OUTinPerth.

The trio asks if its possible for brands that get offside with the LGBTIQ community to restore consumers trust? Gloria Jeans, The Salvation Army, The Australian Labor Party and Barilla Pasta all come up in the discussion.

Should the Prime Minister attend Mardi Gras? Members of Malcolm Turnbull’s own party have said it would be “dangerous” for Australia’s Prime Minister to attend Mardi Gras. Given his failure to legislate for marriage equality, we debate if he’d be welcome.

Graeme recalls he first became aware of David Bowie’s existence with the ‘Ashes to Ashes’ video in 1980, Paul and Leigh are a little younger though, where did they first come across Bowie?
