The charity competition, which launched on Valentine’s day, sought to highlight the best of what London has to offer in the aftermath of a turbulent 2017 – inspiring the capital with images of love.

The winning photos in the competition will be displayed on digital adverts, including billboards, tube and bus stop signs across the British capital this week, including many placed in some of London’s busiest train stations.

The winning image was taken by photographer Justin Hamilton and is titled ‘Snuggles’. Hamilton took the self portrait with his partner by using a timer on his camera.

Hamilton told the BBC that he loved the idea of the competition and was proud to be the winner.

“This competition was a really beautiful idea. I love the thought of spreading some happiness and joy across London and I’m really privileged that the judges chose my entry.

“I think it gives a great representation of love and comfort.

“I hope that people get the same feeling of comfort and joy out of this picture that I have each time I see it.” Hamilton said.

The competition was run by Dating App CLiKD, see all the category winners on their web page.
