The WA AIDS Council is open for business again

Recent storm damage saw the WA AIDS Council having to temporarily close the doors of its Murray Street office.

Now following some rapid repair work the doors are open again and all the services of organisation are available again.

The team at the WA AIDS Council provide a myriad of different services for the LGBTI community. They have a workshop of dealing with mental health issues coming up soon.

It can often be really hard to know what the right thing to say is to someone who is experiencing mental health issues. WAAC are offering training to help improve communication skills around mental health for LGBTIQ+ communities and organisations. To express your interest in this workshop, just send an email by the 30th June.

The WA AIDS Council are also hosting hosting a series of workshops around the state for LGBTI people, parents and people living with HIV to assist with the development of the state’s LGBTI health strategy. Find out more about the upcoming sessions at their website.
