Anthony Callea chatted to OUTinPerth for our June edition about his latest album and upcoming tour, and why he doesn’t think of himself and husband Tim Campbell as role models.

While we had Anthony one the phone we asked him ten quickfire questions.

Who is the most famous person you’ve ever met?

The Queen.

What is the picture on your phone’s lock screen?

I don;t have a picture, there isn’t one, its still on the default iPhone screensaver.

If you had to choose Lady Gaga or Madonna?

Lady Gaga – so many people are going to kill me for that. If you asked Tim that he’d say Madonna, he’s a Madonna freak.

Kylie Jenner or Kylie Minogue?

Are we talking talent or celebrity? I have to go with Kylie Minogue.

Can you play a musical instrument?

I can dabble a bit on the piano, and the triangle – I’m really good at the triangle.

Have you ever done drag?

I’ve never done drag, I’ve got chunky legs. I’d look like a little short Gina Linao.

When you were a school boy who was your celebrity crush?

Sandra Bullock

What’s the first record / CD/ download of music you bought?

The first album I ever bought was Hit Machine 10. Don’t judge!

Would you ever be a judge or a coach on a reality TV singing competition?

If they were up for someone that was honest and straight down the line, and really wanted someone to men tor on vocal technique and vocal ability and performance – then absolutely.

What talent did you wish you have?

I wish I was a great tennis player. I’ve always said if I have a child they’re not getting into singing, I’ll be putting a tennis racket or gold club in their hand and I’ll be like the Williams’ mother travelling the world with them.

Anthony Callea plays The Astor Theatre on 7th July, tickets are available from Ticketek.
