Social media channels were awash with discussions about the star’s health after a US website published a story claiming the Grease star only had weeks to live.

News.com journalist Shannon Molloy however has spoken to Newton-John’s US representatives Michael Caprio who has assured fans of the singer that the reports are inaccurate.

Last year Newton-John shared with fans that she was facing cancer challenges for the third time in her life. She previously beat breast cancer in the early 1990’s, while a second occurrence that occurred in 2013 was managed privately. Last year Newton-John discovered her cancer had returned when she experienced lower back pain.

Over the decades Olivia Newton-John has campaigned for more researched into cancer treatments and helped raised millions of dollars for the established the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research and Wellness Centre in Melbourne.

The singer recently released her autobiography sharing her story of finding international success in music and films.
