Hold Hands For Sochi

Thousands of people are expected to show their support for queer athletes and gay and lesbian Russians at Sunday’s Pride Fairday in Hyde Park.

The ‘Hold Hands for Sochi’ initiative is taking place at Remote Pride House events in 37 different cities during the Sochi Winter Olympics.

The initiative most recently took place in Sydney at Mardis Gras Fairday where more than 60,000 people joined hands for a minute’s silence in solidarity with Russian LGBT people.

Hold Hands For Sochi is at 1:30pm
