Kylie Minogue's Australia Day Honour

Kylie TwitterKylie Minogue has been named ‘Australian of the Year in the UK’ at a Gala Dinner in London ahead of Australia Day.

The singer posted pictures to her Twitter and Instagram accounts showing her at the dinner and displaying her award medal.

The singing star wore a cream gown created by Melbourne design house J’Aton Couture to the ceremony.

The 46 year old entertainer saidshe was “grateful” to revieve the honour that is for high achieving Australians who are based in the United Kingdom.

Minogue is set to return to Australia in March for her ‘Kiss Me Once’ tour. The tour will begin in Perth on Saturday March 14th before heading to Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

The tour began in Liverpool and played 28 shows around Europe before winding up in Zurich in November,

Later this year the tour will head to Isreal, Denmark and Finland before going to Germany. Last year several shows in Germany were cancelled.

Last week Minogue released a new tune, a collaboration with legendary disco producer Girogio Moroder.
