Shot entirely in black and white, the video for RuPaul’s single ‘Modern Love’ features the queen of queens in the studio. There are also a number of famous Los Angeles locations.

In a moment of reflection, RuPaul appears as a ghostly apparition floating over the ocean and pauses to ruminate on the ethos of self love for which she is known.

“I found myself in situations where I was chasing someone who was chasing someone else, and that someone else actually had their eyes on a completely different person, and it’s really sad. It’s like not wanting to belong to a club that would have you as a member, and I don’t want to live like that.”
