Originally composed by Angelo Badalamenti with occasional vocals from Julee Cruise, the soundtrack to the sleepy Washington-set drama was eerie, ethereal and beautiful.

Xiu Xiu’s version of the soundtrack has been produced by former band member Jherek Bischoff and the tracks are mixed by Greg Saunier of Deerhoof.

The band have released the first track, ‘Falling’, onto Soundcloud – check it out below and tell us what you think.
