American Horror Story: Cult releases trailer and new opening titles

The latest instalment of American Horror Story is creeping up on us, and creator Ryan Murphy has finally given audiences a taste of the highly anticipated Cult.

The new trailer reveals exactly how the 2016 US Presidential Election ties into the plot after Murphy dropped hints it would set the tone for the new season.

We also get a peek at Evan Peters’ Trump-obsessed cultist, as well as Sarah Paulson and Alison Pill as a couple with young children who are being terrorised by Peters’ mysterious clown cult.

Murphy has also released the new version of the show’s now iconic opening credits, which have changed with each season to suit the new theme. Season 7’s theme blends the brassy sounds of a marching band, with the show’s trademark eeriness.

If you’re scared of clowns, or have tryptophobia – we wouldn’t recommend either of these videos on this day…
