Resident of Rockingham made the most of the weekend sun, turning out on the foreshore to show their support for marriage equality and a YES vote in the government’s postal survey.

Following the success of Fremantle’s rally the weekend before, the south-western area came together to hear stories from the local supporters; including speakers from Equal Love WA and Motion for Marriage Equality Rockingham It’s Time (Mmerit) organiser Jordon Steele-John of WA Greens.

Proponents of the YES campaign are holding a special event this Thursday at the State Library of Western Australia, where organisers will highlight key dates in the weeks leading up to the postal vote and give advice on how to get involved with the campaign.

WA Says Yes! A Marriage Equality Love In! will be at the State Library of WA on Thursday September 7th from 6pm.
