Six Characters in Search of an Author been called one of the most astonishing plays of the 20th century. In an inventive exploration into the process of artistic creation, six people, who claim to be characters from a play, make a sudden appearance at a rehearsal and seek new life by having a company of actors enact their intense personal drama. Whiplash Theatre has chosen to interpret Pirandello’s script which explores the boundary between reality and illusion for what will be their debut performance as a company.
