Do YOU know what's going on between your legs?

Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable and curable of all cancers. Three out of every four women who develop cervical cancer have either never had a Pap smear or not had one in the last five years. Recent results of a survey of lesbian and bisexual women in WA indicate that cervical screening participation rates were lower among lesbian women.

The WA Cervical Cancer Prevention Program aims to reduce the incidence and mortality from cervical cancer among women in WA. We are currently conducting preliminary research towards developing a brochure about Pap smears for lesbian women. We would like to form a reference group whom we would consult with regularly during the various stages of developing this brochure.
