M Clinic is Moving!

M Clinic has been a huge success. Our client base has grown exponentially since opening in 2011. But, the current location is too small to service our community’s needs properly. So, May 26, we’re packing up and moving to larger, more homely premises. June 5, we’ll re-open our doors at 548 Newcastle Street West Perth. We are moving, but the friendly atmosphere will stay the same.

‘The growth of the clinic has been beyond what any of us could’ve expected, and we didn’t foresee the need to move would come so soon,’ M Clinic Coordinator, Michael Atkinson said.

‘We’ve explored other premises and locations to continue the great work the clinic has been doing. We decided that the Newcastle St location would best suit our growing needs. We are all looking forward to the move and seeing all our regular clients, as well as new clients, at the new location.’

M Clinic Manager, Mark Reid said that the clinic’s expansion has occurred rapidly over the past twenty-two months.

“I am excited about the move. This is a really exciting time for us moving forward and will further enhance the services that we offer to men with same-sex attraction here in Perth,” he said.

When asked about the move, a regular M Clinic clients aid, ‘I have noticed an increase of clients in the waiting room and wait times over the past few times I have tested. Recently [M Clinic has] shifted to appointments only. I can see how the clinic is no longer catering for its increasing number of clients. A move will be good for the clinic and the clients, especially to a location closer to the community. Hopefully moving into a bigger building will mean the waiting room won’t be as crowded on busy days and that the M Clinic will become more accessible once again.’

The new clinic has 2-hour street parking and easy access public transport. Northbridge is an enjoyable stroll away.

If you have an appointment booked for after the re-opening date your appointment time will stay the same, you will just need to present at the new clinic in Newcastle Street.

For more information about the move, or to check your appointment time or if you would like to have a sexual health screen phone the M Clinic on 9380 4922.
