As you know, PRIDEFEST 2012 is an exciting festivalshowcasing the arts, culture and rich history of WA’s and Australia’s diverse sexuality and gender community.

This year we have partnered with many organisations to bring together a festival which the LGBTIQ community needs and deserves. The festival calendar is the perfect mix of old and new and sits together seamlessly and the partnerships we have formed have given us the ability to put together a program which appeals to all.

Fairday is back and will bring everything you love and all the things you’ve always wanted. We’ve reduced the price, added a little more flair and we love how it’s playing out. We’ll have a VIP member’s area, streamlined entry and security processes, and more music and entertainment that ever before. All we need from you is to make sure you relax and enjoy the day, and make sure you’ve got ID if you want to enter the licensed area.

The Community Festival shows us exactly how fantastic our community is and well it works. We’ve seen a variety of events come out of the woodwork and I am really proud to be a part of our community.

Our festival events; from the photography exhibition which will show you where we’ve come from to how we became who we are now, to the comedy nights which brings a little bit of the other States into play show me that the community is supportive and wants to work together with a heap of different options. Parade night gets everyone involved and the three big venues will be helping us out by making a donation to us from what they make on the night.

This year we want you to think about you. Who you are as a person, how you, the people around you, and the community define yourselves. But most of all, this festival we want you to be proud. Be proud of yourself and your community.

Welcome to PRIDEFEST 2012
