Putin Doesn’t Want Foreign Same-Sex Adoption

russia_flagRussian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has stated in a European press conference that he would sign off on a bill that would prevent foreign same-sex couples from adopting in Russia.

Despite arguing that the LGBT community were not discriminated against in Russia, he stated, “if such a law is passed by the parliament of the country, I will sign it”.

Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets is in favour of the change, emphasising that gay marriage was outside of Russian tradition.
