Milo Tosser has players execute gay men
A new video game out of the US allows players to act as members of extremist group ISIS, hurling gay men from the roof of a building for points.
The militant group treat homosexuality as a crime, punishable by death. Dozens of gay and bisexual men have been murdered by militants on charges of sodomy over the past few years.
‘Milo Tosser’ draws from the very real spate of murders of gay men by ISIS in this manner. The game has three levels, each of which presents the player with a new building from which to hurl a homosexual to their demise.
The titular ‘Milo’ is based on US conservative Milo Yiannopoulous, an openly gay man who writes for right-wing publication Breitbart.
Yiannopoulous is known for his fervent opposition to political correctness and feminism. The columnist has also claimed he would choose to be heterosexual, were he able to do so.
‘Milo Tosser’ creator Michael Garber told NewNowNext that Yiannopoulous is the perfect face for this particular game.
“He’s well known for his stances against feminism, PC culture, and Social Justice Warriors. He has also voiced concern about the treatment of homosexuals in Muslim-dominated countries and considers Islam extremists to be a big problem in today’s world,” Garber said.
Garber hopes using Yiannopoulos’ likeness will “soften the blow of the shocking nature of the game’s message.”
“As a gay man who is a staunch advocate for free speech he was a perfect candidate as the ‘tossed’.”
Garber says the incendiary nature of the game’s content is exactly why he created it.
“I wanted to make a game highlighting a serious issue we face in today’s world,” he said.
