White Collar Actor Comes Out

Matt Bomer the lead actor in TV Series White Collar, has acknowledged that he is gay. Appearing at an Awards ceremony last month Bomer thanked his partner publicist Simon Halls, and the couple’s three children. Bomer is set to star in the feature film version of Larry Kramer’s award winning play about AIDS, The Normal Heart later this year.

Big Brother

Channel Nine’s new version of Big Brother is building momentum, it’s been revealed that the house will be once again located at Dream World on the Gold Coast and each housemate will have a secret. Sonia Kruger is set to host after jumping ship from Channel 7.

90210 Hunk To Return

Trevor Donovan is set to return to 90201. Donovan’s gay character Teddy Montgomery will be written back into the next season of the series. Last year Donovan was written out of the series after his character moved to Washington with his boyfriend Shane.

The All New Carrie Bradshaw

Carrie Bradshaw is set to return to the small screen, but Sarah Jessica Parker will not be involved. The US based CW network has commissioned a series based on Candice Bushnell’s prequel books to Sex and the City, The Carrie Diaries. Anna Sophia Robb ,who previously appeared in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Bridge to Terabithia will take on the title role.

Snog Marry Avoid

This is totally going to be our new favourite trashy TV program. Forget makeover shows, this is the world’s first ‘make-under’ show. Created by the BBC, each episode takes a bunch of young Brits who have too much fake tan, too many hair extensions, too much make up and terrible clothes and persuades them to tone it down until they become presentable. Commences 8:30pm Friday March 2 on Eleven.

Kitchen Cabinet

This new series from the ABC’s political correspondent Annabel Crabb is intriguing; each episode she cooks a meal with a politician at their house and they talk politics. On the Wednesday March 7 edition Crabb meets Finance Minister Penny Wong, who cooks belacan fish, a bean sprout and spring onion stir-fry and watercress soup. Wednesdays 9:30pm ABC2.

In Gordon Street Tonight

Tune in on Wednesday March 26 as host Adam Hills conducts a mass gay wedding on national television. The event comes after lesbian couple Elyse and Rebecca requested a wedding on the show last month and the audience nominated legalising same sex marriage as the number one thing they would do if they were Prime Minister.

Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries

Straight from her critically acclaimed role in The Slap, Australian actress Esse Davis takes on the leading role in this 13 part series which will screen on Sunday nights on ABC1. Look out for the fabulous Miriam Margolyes who plays Miss Fisher’s aunt.
