Look Out For

Snog Marry Avoid

This is totally going to be our new favourite trashy TV program. Forget makeover shows, this is the world’s first ‘make-under’ show. Created by the BBC, each episode takes a bunch of young Brits who have too much fake tan, too many hair extensions, too much make up and terrible clothes and persuades them to tone it down until they become presentable. Commences 8:30pm Friday March 2 on Eleven.

Kitchen Cabinet

This new series from the ABC’s political correspondent Annabel Crabb is intriguing; each episode she cooks a meal with a politician at their house and they talk politics. On the Wednesday March 7 edition Crabb meets Finance Minister Penny Wong, who cooks belacan fish, a bean sprout and spring onion stir-fry and watercress soup. Wednesdays 9:30pm ABC2.

In Gordon Street Tonight

Tune in on Wednesday March 26 as host Adam Hills conducts a mass gay wedding on national television. The event comes after lesbian couple Elyse and Rebecca requested a wedding on the show last month and the audience nominated legalising same sex marriage as the number one thing they would do if they were Prime Minister.

Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries

Straight from her critically acclaimed role in The Slap, Australian actress Esse Davis takes on the leading role in this 13 part series which will screen on Sunday nights on ABC1. Look out for the fabulous Miriam Margolyes who plays Miss Fisher’s aunt.
