Pride WA announce new committee for 2019

Pride WA have announced their committee of management following their recent Annual General Meeting where two new committee members were elected.

Ross Grayson-Bell and Paul McAllister join eight existing committee members who run the organisation behind the popular annual Pride festival.

Long standing committee member Frances Burgess is the new President of Pride, while former President Jeremy Wray steps down into the Vice President role. Graeme Bell is the Senior Vice President, Curtis Ward is the Secretary and Leslie Fisher will serve as the organisation’s treasurer.

Michael Della Maddalena will head the Membership and Membership Benefits Committee.

Frances Burgess said her goal will be to live up to Pride WA’s mission of bringing many people together on  a journey.

“I really want us (Pride WA) to support the many LGTBIQ+ groups within our community, to enhance their profile, to work together to increase the visibility of the LGTBIQ+ in Perth metropolitan and regional areas across WA.” Burgess said.

Pride have announced that this years Pridefest will run from Saturday 2nd November to Saturday 30th November. The theme for the festival will be announced in the coming months.
